    Job Title:  USAF Operational Warfare Training Instructor 

    Location: Hurlburt Field, FL

    Security Clearance:  Secret Clearance

     

    Responsibilities

    The 705th Training Squadron's mission is to conduct advanced academic training, education and mentorship to enhance operational-level air, space, and cyberspace C2 for joint and coalition warfighters; improve C2 processes through cradle-to-grave development of Operational-level Techniques and Procedures.

     

    The Squadron exists to educate and train USAF officers, AOC senior leaders and staffs of Combatant and Numbered Air Force Commanders, joint and allied partners.

     

    Job Description: 

    • Train airmen to have C2 expertise at the operational level of war in pursuit of the 13O career field. Trainees are officers with a 1-series AFSC with between 7 and 12 years of USAF.  Students will understand multi-domain command and control and the application to the operational level of planning. The graduates will go on to serve in key positions in AOCs, AFFORs, and CCMD staffs.
    • Familiarize students with basic planning processes as they apply to the AOC and AFFOR staffs. Course material in this block will focus on AOC and AFFOR doctrine and process.
    • Introduce the joint planning process and air tasking cycle.
    • Provide instruction on how to run a Targeting Effects Team in accordance with USAF guidance.

    Qualifications

    • Masters Degree in Military Operational Art (IDE) or Masters of Science in a related discipline
    • TS/SCI security clearance
    • Former/ Retired USAF Field Grade Officer
    • Experience serving in an Air Operations Center (AOC) Strategy Division, or AOC Combat Operations Division, or AFFOR staff.
    • At least one-year experience in the last 5 years at USAFE, PACAF, 7 AF, AFCENT, AFSOUTH, Joint Space Operations Center (JSpOC), Joint Global Strike Operations Center (JGSOC), and 24 AF (AFCYBER) serving as a Team, Branch, or Division Chief.
    • If operational experience is not within the last 5 years, military operational art of war instructor experience may be substituted.
    • Experience the operational-level, and personal experience in either air, space, or cyber warfare, or a combination thereof.
    • Served in at least one Tier-1 operational-level exercise.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Graduate of Command & Control Warrior Advanced Course (C2WAC).
    • Graduate of Air Component Special Technical Operations Planners Course (ACSTOPC).
    • Graduate of Fighter Weapons School.
    • Experience teaching high-level military instruction.
    • Held an AOC leadership position. 
    • Experience at a Joint or Combined Staff.
    • Master of Science in Joint Campaign Planning & Strategy.
