    Overview / Job Responsibilities:

    Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), is the special operations component of the United States Air Force. An Air Force major command (MAJCOM), AFSOC is also the U.S. Air Force component command to United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), a unified combatant command located at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. AFSOC provides all Air Force Special Operations Forces (SOF) for worldwide deployment and assignment to regional unified combatant commands.


    • Operate MC-12 back-end equipment in accordance with AFSOC syllabus to train sensor operators 
    • Provide Tactical System Operator (TSO) Mission Qualification Training (MQT) and Continuation Training (CT) 
    • Train MC-12W sensor operator instructors for the sole purpose of maintaining mission qualification in the MC-12W 
    • Participate in Scenario Development with instructors

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Candidates who were qualified in the MC-12 and were current in U.S. military aircraft within the previous two years 


    • Aircraft qualified in any AFSOC ISR platform within the last 4 years plus one of the following conditions:
    • (8) years of military operational flying duty
    • At least 100 hours experience as a qualified sensor operator in the MC-12W
    • FAA Class III flight physical or military equivalent
    • Secret Clearance
