Job Title: Office Clerk (WL2)
Job Location: DC Metro Area
Security Clearance: DHS Suitability
General Support: Perform data entry, file management, correspondence. Make and answer phone calls. Conduct research on a variety of civil rights and liberties issues; prepare, send, and track routine correspondence; manage incoming and outgoing mail; and prepare routine reports. Provide information access assistance to a blind staff member.
Meeting support: schedule meetings and conference calls; reserve conference rooms; review calendars a week ahead to ensure all meetings are adequately staffed and resources are obtained; escort visitors to and from DHS meetings; assist with conference room set up; compile post-event attendee lists and evaluations at the direction of the meeting organizer; photocopy and assemble meeting and briefing materials; and
Travel support: assist staff with making travel arrangements and preparing travel vouchers; package and ship meeting and conference materials.
Candidate shall show progressive administrative experience, defined as clerical, office, or other administrative work.
Demonstrates the ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position.
1. Familiarity with DHS policies, procedures, and systems;

3. compiling and tracking data;

6. typing correspondence;
7. compiling meeting materials;
8. managing multiple calendars.
9. Experience working in a fast paced environment.
• Minimum of 5+ years of general administrative experience
• required: Active DHS suitability/ Entry on Duty (EOD) from any DHS component
