    Job Title:  Budget and Finance Analyst

    Job Location: Washington DC

    Security Clearance:  Clearable

    Responsibilities

    Africa Center for Strategic Studies (ACSS) supports U.S. foreign and security policies by strengthening the strategic capacity of African states to identify and resolve security challenges in ways that promote civil-military cooperation, respect for democratic values, and safeguarding human rights. The ACSS engages African partner states and institutions through rigorous academic and outreach programs that build strategic capacity and foster long-term, collaborative relationships.

     

    • Prepare engagement budgets based on parameters provided by ACSS and support the annual program planning process by preparing engagement cost estimates within the planning timeline
    • Track expenditures in accordance with guidance provided by ACSS
    • Draft and complete contracts for temporary and adjunct support positions and coordinate event related contracts.
    • Additional logistics support to help ACSS staff conduct event in U.S. and Africa
    • Perform other duties as required

    Qualifications

     

    • BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Administration is desired
    • Minimum 4 years’ experience in budget development and execution
    • Experience in working with Department of Defense
