    ACT I has been providing solutions for high profile military programs such as the U.S. Navy's and the U.S. Air Force's Joint Strike Fighter F-35, the U.S. Navy's F-18, EA-18G and F-16N Aggressor, and the U.S. Air Force's F-22 Raptor since 1998.
     
    We are a Small Business DoD Prime Contractor seeking candidates to provide contractor supported Subject Matter Experts (SME) to the 505 TS for Combined Air Operations Center-Nellis (CAOC-N) located at Nellis Air Force Base, NV.

    The mission of the 505th Command and Control Wing (505 CCW) is to build the predominant air and space command and control (C2) capability for joint and combined warfighters through training, testing and exercising under the direction of the United States Air Force Warfare Center (USAFWC), Nellis AFB, NV. The 505 CCW consists of two subordinate groups, the 505th Training Group (505 TRG) located at Hurlburt Field, FL and the 505th Test and Evaluation Group (505 TEG) located at Nellis AFB, NV.

    505 TS provides advanced readiness training for C-NAF/C-MAJCOM AOC personnel in conjunction with RED FLAG (RF), VIRTUAL FLAG (VF) and USAF Weapons School Advanced Integration Phase (WSAIP) events.

    CAOC-N hosts over 3,000 visitors and participants per year for RF, VF, WSAIP, and CCMD support exercises and other tests/exercises/events.

    Proposed Period of Performance : 26Sep2018 - 30Apr2022 (Base Period + 4 Option Years)

    Place of Performance : Nellis AFB, NV

    This position is contingent upon Task Order award.

    Responsibilities

    Provide instruction to SADO, Defensive Duty Officer and Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Duty Officer students on how to manage IAMD across the exercise Joint Operating Area. The SADO SME will be required to instruct on the selection of an appropriate platform/sensor/weapon combinations to achieve the effects directed in Area Air Defense Plan (AADP). Additionally, the SADO SME will be able to make appropriate recommendation decisions regarding Air Defense Warning, Weapons Control Status and AADC Authority delegation and/or retraction. The SADO SME will develop, test, and publish new Tactics Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) to streamline the integrated air and missile defense C2 process. Position will support planning (Concept development, Initial Planning, Mid Planning, Final Planning), execution and Lesson Learned/TTP development for Red Flag events and other COCOM, USAFWC, and 505 CCW events as required.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
    • Must have a Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility at a minimum and eligibility for Special Access Programs.
    • Must have a minimum 3 years of Integrated Air/Missile Defense experience as a SADO. Must have participated in two or more AOC/Joint exercises as SADO.
    • Must have in-depth, understanding of current Integrated Air and Missile Defense doctrine and TTPs. Must have understanding of the duties and functions of the AADC in theater warfare. Familiarity with the capabilities and functions of the AAMDC. Must have understanding of current AOC SADO team duties and responsibilities as well as R/SADC duties. Must have familiarity with the duties and functions of the CCO, SODO, Dynamic Targeting Cell and subordinate duty officers. Preferred graduate of USAF AOC COD IQT course.
    • Must have understanding of the Area Air Defense Plan, form, functions and planning methodology with emphasis on the development of Critical Asset and Defended Asset lists.
    • Should have previous instructor/evaluator experience. Experience as an exercise designer/planner/director (highly desired).
    • Should have knowledge of AOC exercises and exercise constructs including Live, Virtual, Constructive and combinations. Should have knowledge of exercise management and MSEL processes.
