  • Overview

    ACT I has been providing solutions for high profile military programs such as the U.S. Navy's and the U.S. Air Force's Joint Strike Fighter F-35, the U.S. Navy's F-18, EA-18G and F-16N Aggressor, and the U.S. Air Force's F-22 Raptor since 1998.
     
    We are a Small Business DoD Prime Contractor and are seeking candidates to provide a broad range of technical assistance, acquisition planning, quick response research, and special studies in support of the UH-1N replacement, B-21, and GBSD strategic basing actions. The contractor shall coordinate with other Air Force ICBM, B-21 and UH-1N replacement agencies, Services (i.e., Army and Navy), and Joint offices in support of Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command (HQ AFGSC), Directorate of Strategic Plans, Programs, Requirements (A5/8) Strategic Plans Division (A8X).

     

    Proposed Period of Performance : 1 Aug 2018 - 31 Jul 2023 (One Base Year + Four Option Years)

    Place of Performance : Air Force Global Strike Command Campus, Barksdale AFB, LA.

    This position is contingent upon task order award.

    Responsibilities

    HQ AFGSC/A8X provides a synergistic organization of four branches that orchestrates strategic planning; collects and refines data; and develops materials to communicate strategic initiatives. A8X coordinates with Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Major Commands (MAJCOMs), and Combatant Commands (COCOMs), as required, for strategic plan development and integration.

     

    • Provide HQ AFGSC with essential expertise and capabilities to ensure AFGSC’s conventional and non-conventional responsibilities are met. HQ AFGSC/A8X required support includes expertise in: nuclear deterrence and global strike operations; organizational constructs and performance; test, nuclear surety; develop processes, train, and -facilitate proponent in Site Surveys and Site Activation Task Forces (SATAF) for UH-1N replacement, B-21, and Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM)/Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD). Duties will include guiding the Proponent through the Air Force Strategic Basing Process, training the assembled cross functional team on activities involved in site visits, advising assembled team in writing a programming plan for site action(s) at base(s),developing and tracking milestones, creating processes and checklists for repeatable actions required to ensure basing actions are accomplished.

    • Developing all SATAF processes and requirements, and training SATAF and Program Integration Office (PIO) members at AFGSC installations as well as any additional tasks as directed.

    • Develop, plan, and coordinate processes, tracking tools, and checklist(s), for direct implementation on all SATAF/PIO actions.

    • Facilitate proponent led functional teams to conduct site surveys/site visits for all SATAF related requests at AFGSC installations; and coordinate and process Command recommendations to the Air Staff.

    Qualifications

    • Secret Security Clearance
    • Minimum of 5 years helicopter, bomber and/or ICBM experience in helicopter, bomber and/or ICBM operations, maintenance, security, test; or a mixture of the four.
    • Minimum of 5 years of staff experience working on an Air Force MAJCOM, HAF, or joint equivalent staff.
    • Minimum of 2 years nuclear experience at the Air Force MAJCOM, NAF, or HAF level.
