Overview

ACT I has been providing solutions for high profile military programs such as the U.S. Navy's and the U.S. Air Force's Joint Strike Fighter F-35, the U.S. Navy's F-18, EA-18G and F-16N Aggressor, and the U.S. Air Force's F-22 Raptor since 1998.
 
We are a Small Business DoD Prime Contractor and are seeking Flight Training Operations Support personnel in support of U.S. air Force Air Education and Training Command.

• Lackland AFB, TX (ANG)
• Little Rock AFB, AR (ANG)

These positions are contigent upon Task Order award.

Responsibilities

Provide flight training operations support (FTOS) functions to U.S. Air Force Air Education and Training Command training squadrons. FTOS functions include: Standardization & Evaluation (Stan/Eval) support, Training support, and aircrew Scheduling/Programming support.

The focus of work shall be to support non-flying duties in training squadrons that personnel on flying status traditionally perform as additional duties.


- The scheduler function is responsible for scheduling aircraft, academics, and training devices as well as the crew complement in order to meet applicable AETC Instruction (AETCI) 36-2605 Vol 1, other applicable volumes, and training syllabus requirements;


- Build long-range and execute short-range schedules in accordance with local SOP’s and Programmed
Flying Training (PFT) requirements to ensure full coverage of all aircrew, student, and supervisor positions;

- Scheduler will maintain constraints of AFI 11-202V3, AFI 11-2MDS as well as any applicable syllabus or
AETCI 36-2605 (applicable volume) supplements and local guidance;

- Track daily flight/ground/academic training requirements and accomplishments to facilitate effective flight
scheduling;

- Create daily, weekly, and long range scheduling products which may include a squadron Local Flying Hour
Schedule, Flying Hour Forecast, Flying Hour Program (FHP) Report, Flying Effectiveness Report, Frequency Schedule, calendars, master slides, and scheduling requirement summary for unit review and briefing to squadron leadership or designated official;

- Coordinate additional flight, ground, and training device schedule requirements as needed

- Scheduler will change and update the schedule to maximize use of resources when aberrations such as
aircraft mechanical problems, medical issues, flight evaluation requirements, expiring event currencies, deployments, student training continuity, weather, student performance, simulator maintenance problems, or other factors affect the schedule; and

- Scheduler needs to be able to adapt quickly to changing circumstances in a medium- to high-stress
environment.

Qualifications

1) Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a DoD operational flying unit (active duty, guard/reserve, contractor or civilian)

2) Minimum of one (1) year of scheduling experience working in a DoD operational or training flying unit within last ten (10) years (active duty, guard/reserve, contractor or civilian)

3) Minimum two (2) years of experience working with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

4) Ability to operate the following systems/programs:

     a) SharePoint websites and communities of practice
     b) Computer based training scheduling, and integrated management system (TIMS, GTIMS, PEX, X-plan)
     c) Microsoft Access is not required but highly desired

5) Favorable background check

6) Possess knowledge of organizational and functional responsibilities, as well as the organizational relationships of a military flying unit.
