Overview

Advanced Concepts and Technologies International (ACT I) is a Small Business Prime Contractor providing support to Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security (DHS).  We have an opening and are seeking a Senior Business and Financial Operations Specialist candidate in our Finance Team for support the office of the DHS’s Cybersecurity and Communications (CS&C) Division in Arlington, Virginia.   

 

Candidates shall provide specialized expertise supporting DHS CS&C Financial Team with financial planning, execution and acquisition operations/business process support services. Support shall include directly assisting the CS&C Senior Government staff, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Procurement Teams, and contractor team staff with generation of routine and custom reports from Federal Financial Management System (FFMS), entering purchase requisitions (PRs) into FFMS, providing lines of accounting (LOA) to through the Accounting Line Verification System (ALVS), Asset Compliance Tool (ACT), briefing preparation, staffing and coordination for CS&C Leadership and external agencies.

Responsibilities

•    Provide financial analyses and reports to senior staff on Master Spend Plans, funds status and execution status of funds.
•    Develop custom financial reports from FFMS in Microsoft Office products.
•    Provide Lines of Accounting in support of Purchase Requests and Procurement Teams.
•    Consolidate and integrate inputs from CS&C divisions and develop budget documentation, (briefings, spread sheets and reports) and recommendations.
•    Conduct financial studies and analyses, trend analyses, asset compliance tracking, support performance based metrics reporting and respond to planned and time sensitive taskers from Senior Government Staff.

Qualifications

•    The candidate shall have a bachelor’s degree and minimum of twelve (10) years (or 14+ years of experience without a degree) of relevant experience in providing professional services and administrative support for Senior Government Staff with at least 4 years working directly for Senior Government Officials.
•    The candidate shall have DHS Suitability and a Secret Clearance.
•    Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing;
•    Ability to read and interpret office communications and correspondence, direct and assign taskings to appropriate SMEs and points of contact for response;
•    Candidate must be proficient in various types of information technology resources such as Microsoft Office including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint, and SharePoint;
•    Experience with DHSs FFMS, ALVS, PRISM, ExecSec tasking system and invoice processing is highly desired
•    IT background and ability to develop queries and reports from databases
•    Financial analysis and reporting experience within the U.S. Government
