Overview

ACT I has been providing solutions for high profile military programs since 1998.
 
We are a Small Business DoD contractor and are aggressively seeking candidates to support the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ) and provide specialized expertise to complement the organization’s inherent resources for effective and efficient mission accomplishment and continuity, introduction of innovation, and enhancement of technical competence. 

 

The Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ) has overall responsibility for acquiring weapons systems for the Department of the Air Force and serves as the Senior Procurement Executive, the Service Acquisition Executive (SAE) and acquisition representative on the Air Force Council. SAF/AQ oversees the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) and procurement of major Air Force platforms and systems across the full breadth of air and space capabilities. SAF/AQ reports to the Secretary of the Air Force, serves as an agent of the Secretary within assigned policy and program domains, and provides guidance, direction, and oversight for all matters pertaining to the formulation, review, and execution of plans, policies, programs, and budgets within the AQ area of responsibility. SAF/AQ also works in cooperation with the other agencies and organizations within the Secretary of the Air Force and Headquarters Air Force. Program Executive Officers (PEOs) at multiple acquisition centers, to include the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO), reports directly to the SAE and the Defense Acquisition Executive (DAE) for Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition functions. SAF/AQ works to address immediate and near-term Combat Air Force and Combatant Commander’s requirements by managing acquisition projects that are conducted on accelerated timelines, require unique industrial interactions, and coordination and cooperation of other government agencies and organizations.

 

Place of Performance is at the Pentagon and various Government facilities in the NCR, military installations, and other facilities as may be required.

 

Proposed Period of Performance is August 2018 through August 2023 (one Base year plus four Option years).

 

This position is contingent upon Task Order award.

Responsibilities

The tasks for this position include:
a. Providing functional support for the design, structure, and overall performance of an
enterprise system or system of systems designed to meet specific requirements
b. Assisting in the preparation of requirements, design specifications, conceptual approaches
and interoperability constraints for systems.
c. Evaluating proposed systems for functionality, interoperability, maintainability, and overall
efficiency and effectiveness.
d. Working with design teams to ensure that critical architecture issues are identified early in
design process and that interfaces with legacy and new systems are appropriately managed in
new systems.
e. Planning and managing work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection,
substantial adaptation, and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
f. Independently preparing (or directing others in the preparation of) criteria,
computation/analyses, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports in the specific area
of technical expertise.
g. Developing and applying architectural techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate
specific problems, data, or other features of the work, which are broad in scope and
complexity.
h. Reviewing, evaluating, and reporting on the quantity, quality, and overall adequacy of results
and conclusions drawn from accomplishment of architectural tasks.
i. Any other tasks closely associated with the performance of duties list above and as
coordinated with the COR.

 

Qualifications

-Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a Business/Engineering discipline.

-7 years of Information Technology experience to include 2 years’ experience with DODAF 2.0 processes.
-This person shall be capable of devising innovative approaches to complex problems.

-Secret Clearance Required
