    ACT I has been providing solutions for high profile military programs such as the U.S. Navy's and the U.S. Air Force's Joint Strike Fighter F-35, the U.S. Navy's F-18, EA-18G and F-16N Aggressor, and the U.S. Air Force's F-22 Raptor since 1998.

    We are a Small Business DoD Prime Contractor seeking candidates to provide support with the subject expertise, knowledge, skills and abilities to provide advisory, assistance and project management support to all work (planning, research, data
    collection, analysis, design, development, execution, and assessment) required to augment three Focus Areas (FA) within Marine Corps Logistics Command’s (MARCORLOGCOM) audit readiness efforts.


    Proposed Period of Performance: 29Jun2018 - 28 Jun2021 (One Base Year + Two Option Years)

    Place of Performance:  The location for these efforts is at the Marine Corps Logistics Base, Albany, GA and Marine Corps Logistics Base, Barstow, CA. Short-term temporary additional duty may be required to the following locations:
    • Headquarters, United States Marine Corps, Arlington, VA
    • Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA
    • Marine Corps Logistics Base, Barstow, CA
    • Marine Corps Support Facility, Blount Island / Jacksonville FL


    This opportunity is contingent upon Task Order award.


    This position is at Marine Corps Logistics Command (MARCORLOGCOM) in Albany, GA in support of the Audit Readiness Augmentation team for assessment of financial systems compliance with FIAR requirements. The candidate ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation; verifies assets and liabilities by comparing items to documentation; completes audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings; appraises adequacy of internal control systems by completing audit questionnaires; recommends enhancements to policies and procedures; communicates audit findings by preparing reports and discussing findings with auditees; complies with FIAR requirements by studying existing and new security legislation; recommending enforcement and adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. The candidate prepares special audit and control reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating information and trends. Specific requirements include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Audits financial, control, operating or other records and data to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of systems.
    • Determines audit strategies, programs and procedures for specific audit assignments.
    • Audits and evaluates the overall condition of a variety of financial, control, and operations systems.
    • Makes recommendations in audit areas of expertise.
    • Develops recommendations for program goals and plans for implementation.
    • Develops alternative recommendations and strategies for programs based on analysis and research in an assigned specialty area.
    • Design and conduct comprehensive analyses, studies, surveys, reviews, and/or research projects for the purpose of defining problems, identifying potential courses of action, and proposing solutions for Statement of Budgetary Activity and Systems Compliance.
    • Ability to consolidate findings into completed staff action papers and reports with supporting briefing slides. Prepare and present high-level briefings of conclusions and recommended courses of action to MARCORLOGCOM executive and senior management teams and other Marine Corps organizations and departments, as directed.


    Knowledge, skills, abilities, education:

    • B.A. or B.S. degree in Finance or Accounting
    • 5+ years of accounting and financial management experience, including at least 3+ years of increasing responsibilities as a team leader or first level supervisor.
    • Knowledge and/or experience working with Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) requirements
    • Knowledge of logistics procedures and processes as it relates to financial management
    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
    • Excellent client-facing consulting skills
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to use MS Office Suite of tools and applications
    • Knowledgeable and experienced with USMC materiel management and/or inventory control functions at the wholesale level of supply
