Overview

ACT I has been providing solutions for high profile military programs such as the U.S. Navy's and the U.S. Air Force's Joint Strike Fighter F-35, the U.S. Navy's F-18, EA-18G and F-16N Aggressor, and the U.S. Air Force's F-22 Raptor since 1998.

 

We are a Small Business DoD Prime Contractor seeking candidates to support the U.S. Government, Department of Homeland Security.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

 

Required:

 

1. Four-year degree
   a) business administration, finance or accounting preferred but not required
2. Experience providing financial management, accounting, audit, audit remediation, internal control support at a federal agency
   a) DHS experience a bonus
   b) FEMA, NPPD, DNDO, TSA, USCG experience a bonus
   c) DoD experience if no DHS experience
3. Strong communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact frequently with technical, and senior personnel (good interpersonal skills important for all candidates, more important for senior people).
4. US citizen; speak, read and write English.
5. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite
   a) SharePoint a bonus
6. 4-6 years of experience

 

Desired:

 

1. A current or recent Secret, TS or any DHS clearance.
2. Non-FM support to DHS or a DHS component
   a) Recent experience (to leverage clearance) a plus
3. Specialized knowledge and expertise of:
   a) Managerial cost accounting and cost allocation functions as described in Statement of Federal Financial Accounting Standards (SFFAS) Number 4 and OMB Circular A-25,
   b) cost estimating and modeling,
   c) cost allocation,
   d) government accounting,
   e) financial policy
   f) reconciling financial statements
4. The following certifications/education (listed in order of importance) demonstrate knowledge in accounting/auditing. Would also influence salary:
   a) CPA Certified Public Accountant
   b) CGFM Certified Government Financial Management
   c) CDFM Certified Defense Financial Manager
   d) Accounting degree (may be able to offset experience if candidate has accounting degree)
   e) Experience at a Big Four or other company, with specific experience provided FM/accounting/audit/internal control support
